Mrs. Slocombe loves her men... Can anyone give me some examples (good or bad) she's had with men or her desperation to have a good time ???
Mrs. Slocombe - "Miss Brahms and I refuse to be cooped up in the lift for days with half a dozen men, except as a last resort !"

I don't know that I can think of any good experiences she's had with men! Some bad ones that seem more outstanding than the rest:
- Her unrequited love for Mr. Humphries in The Erotic Dreams of Mrs. Slocombe - Her failed marriage with Mr. Slocombe - Being stood up by Mr. Tomiades in Do You Take This Man? - Expecting Young Mr. Grace to propose to her in Wedding Bells Poor Mrs. Slocombe! |

How about the date she had at the cinema?
"He's taking me to the pictures tonight to apologise. I hope he behaves himself in the back row." "How do you know you're going in the back row?" "Because I've booked." And of course: "If you don't take your hand away, young man, I'm going home - eventually." "Well, there's Bambi at Studio 2, then 'round the corner there's The Unsatisfied Virgin. Don't forget the time it was so hot she and Mrs. Axelbee had to sit in their night dresses with the door wide open - and nobody bothered them!!

All right, there WAS the one time she stripped down at the doctor's office and was given a Right Goin' Over by a young man in a white coat. I expect she enjoyed that.

I love the story of the man who took her home from the bar but they were no where near her house. He asks her in for a night cap and she realizes what he means because he produces a nightie to go with it. Miss Brahms ask her if she ask him to take her home and Mrs. Slocombe responds... "Eventually"
